- New to continued education within 2 years of high school graduation.
- Must have current or past residency on Madeline Island.
- Must be pursuing continued education from an accredited program.

Greetings from the Madeline Island Public Library FriendsCircle!
FriendsCircle is volunteers and donors who support the MIPL with services, funds, and in-kind donations. The FriendsCircle helps out with Library initiatives as needed with an emphasis on the library grounds where visitors are always welcome to explore at their leisure. The launch of the Library Woods Sound Garden by James Everest in 2023 coincided with the creation of the MIPL FriendsCircle. In this fourth year, 2026, the MIPL now offers two free recorded walks on ECHOEs created for library visitors: the Library Woods Sound Garden (a musical soundtrack created on site in 2024) and Library Voices (readings and thoughts regarding the library).
Current FriendsCircle projects include:

- Library Woods Sound Garden. Tidying, weeding, monitoring wind chimes andbenches, spring mulching, creating dead hedges, removing buckthorn.
- Pollinator Garden. Planting, watering and maintaining the bed.
- Memorial Gardens and Gazebo. Weeding, tidying, picking up litter, tending to the pavers.
- Reading. Summer reading to children.
- General Library Activities. Fundraising, promoting library and programs.
